Haggard, M. D., a urologist at the University of Arizona in Tucson, who has written extensively about the drug.
In June, Viagra cost about $14,000 per 100 milligram pill. In the same year, Pfizer and Eli Lilly paid a total of $1,081,000 for its Viagra. That price is $8,500 a year, which is not a fair comparison.
The drug has been on the market for about 40 years. It has been studied in the U. S. and is in a class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitors. A few years ago, however, Pfizer began to develop a drug called Viagra for patients who are suffering from erectile dysfunction. But as the drug got more developed, it was found that it had a high potential to cause sexual side effects.
Haggard, a urologist at Arizona State University, is the author of several papers about the drug.
Haggard says that he has seen the drug cause side effects that are very rare in patients with erectile dysfunction. "It's rare, but very important to know."
Dr. W. Michael Rall, who directs research at Dr. Haggard’s office, says his research has shown that Viagra is a relatively safe drug for people with erectile dysfunction. "If you're using Viagra, you should be aware of the potential side effects," Rall told the Washington Post. "But Viagra is a much safer medication than many other drugs."
The side effects of Viagra and other drugs, Rall says, are often very mild, and Viagra and other drugs are generally well-tolerated. In rare cases, Viagra may cause serious problems. And it can cause the brain to make a drug that is toxic to the body.
In his book, The Longinus, Rall wrote that Viagra is a drug with a high potential to cause a serious problem. So far, there are no studies that show the drug causes Viagra to cause any serious side effects.
But Rall says that he is not sure that the side effects are caused by Viagra. "I don't think they are," Rall told the Post.
Haggard is confident that there are plenty of other options for patients with erectile dysfunction. In his book, The Longinus, Rall describes Viagra as a safe and effective drug. "It works very well in many clinical trials, but it may cause some side effects. And that's a very important thing," he wrote.
Rall says that he has seen the drug cause side effects in his patients. "It has been shown to have a number of undesirable side effects," Rall told the Post. He has not seen any cases in which the side effects were serious. "In all cases, the side effects were very rare," he wrote.
Rall says that he has not seen any cases of Viagra causing Viagra side effects. He says that his patients are "very safe and very happy."
Viagra is a prescription drug. Doctors usually start with the lowest effective dose to see the most benefit. But when they do, they use the lowest dose and then increase the dose to see the most benefit.
Viagra is taken 30 minutes to an hour before sexual activity and Viagra should be taken as needed. The recommended dose is 10 milligrams once a day. Viagra may be taken with or without food. Men with severe heart problems or high blood pressure should not take Viagra. Viagra should not be taken more than once in 24 hours. Viagra should be taken with water.
Viagra has the potential to cause side effects. Rall points out that Viagra is not a good choice for all patients with erectile dysfunction. "It has a low incidence of side effects," Rall told the Post. "It has a very low incidence of side effects."
There are no reports of side effects from Viagra or other PDE-5 inhibitors. But a few side effects that have been reported by patients include headache, flushing, upset stomach, nausea, loss of appetite, blurred vision and back pain.
